ASG Technology

ASG demonstration of the semantic service provisioning lifecycle based on prototypic applications and its sourcecode:
DONE ASG Demonstrator (SW Package & Sources)

The ASG Technology section is aimed at developers of service-oriented applications and platforms. Here you can find technical information about the approaches, concepts and technologies behind ASG. The sections encompasses the following types of sub-sections:

Here you can find a detailed description of the impact of SOA and ASG on an Enterprise Architecture. A short comparison of a set of features such as reliability, applied standards or semantic awareness of state-of-the-art SOA technology and the ASG research goals.
Research and development methodologies are an important factor for ensuring high quality and exploitable results in a project. ASG developed and adopted some methodologies, which enabled carrying out research work, prototype development and estimation of usefulness via business scenarios in a parallel and interactive manner. Here you will find a short description of the ASG reference architecture used for the semantic service provisioning platform.
The ASG Animation provides an animated demonstration of the following:
  • Service-oriented Architectures (SOA) as an exemplary approach for software companies to achieve their goals
  • A description of the current shortcomings of SOA approaches and how these are addressed within ASG using a scenario developed during the project (Event Booking for Tourists)
  • The capabilities of the service provisioning lifecycle of the ASG Platform using the Event Booking Scenario
  • A description of how the ASG platform meets the goals of software companies within the context of SOA.
The conceptual description of ASG’s service delivery lifecycle illustrates the main concepts and methods of ASG’s research work and the ASG platform at a high level. The main inherent goal here was to set these concepts including their correlations in an easier to understand service delivery lifecycle.
