ASG Kick Off Meeting in Potsdam

About fifty scientists, developers and representatives from all 21 partners of all involved Countries (Australia, Austria, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Poland)
University of Potsdam, Germany, 9-10 September, 2004
The Kick off Meeting of the Integrated Project Adaptive Services Grid was about discussing and setting up main structures for project management, scientific coordination and dissemination, introduction and presentation of the own Work Components and finally to promote a successful project start.
First meeting day
- Presentations und Discussions about Project Management Structure:
- challenges and goals of the project
- setting up the Architecture Board
- ASG-Week as an instrument for close cooperation beetween the Work Components
- Prototyping important for common understanding
- Presentation of a web-based collaboration platform as a tool and repository system for all project activities, deliverables, events etc. to ensure
- Scientific Coordination Process
- Dissemination Coordination Process
- scientific, administrative and dissemination coordination in detail
- administrative (among others refinement of CA, IPR process, ...)
- scientific (Key deliverable process)
- dissemination (diss. contact person per partner for News, Highlights and per work component for new R&D-results,...)
- Introduction and Presentation of all Work Components
- discussing challenges and goals as well as scope of work
Second meeting day
- Work component workshops and Plenary Discussion
- Introduction and Discussion about candidates of Architecture Board
- Introduction to voting procedure
- Confirmation about quorum per Partner
- Confirmation about Project&Manegement Strucure
- Election of Architecture and Scientific Board
- 1st ASG-Week at University of Economics in Poznan, Poland, Oct 2004
