Workshop showed much interest of telecommunication companies in SOA-based solutions. Nowadays telecommunication companies see such platforms as ASG as a possibility to develop new and usable solutions for the market. As the penetration of mobile market in Poland is quite high they look for new ways of reaching the customer i.e. by new services. Therefore also the issue of business models was broadly addressed.
Industry-oriented workshops should cover not only technical issues but also should emphasis business models for semantic platforms such as the one developed within the ASG project. As such workshops are attended mostly by visioners not by technical people benefits going out of the utilisation of such platform should be clearly presented and discussed. Moreover, nowadays SOA is one of the most discussed topics and a number of companies are investigating SOA-based solutions as they are planning to introduce some in their business. Therefore they look for solutions that will enhance the reliability of web services-based software and enable monitoring of services' execution. They also look for some proof of concept prototypes that will prove usability of such solution and demonstrate its features and functionalities.
