The goal of ASG roadmap is to provide some answers as to when semantic web services can be expected on the market.

Before looking into the market expectations, key concepts of ASG are presented with the intention of providing some knowledge of the status of the basic ASG fundamentals that provides premises for the analysis of the roadmap analysis.

The contents of the roadmap include:

• a vision for the semantic web
• an introduction to service-oriented architectures and their characteristics
• a description of the underlying ASG architecture and,
• a more detailed description of how to engineer services that can be developed on an ASG platform
• finally some market expectations, critical factors and an estimated timeline for necessary building blocks and preconditions for semantic services
